Leaders and Responsibilities
Curriculum Lead: The Curriculum Lead is responsible
for overseeing the entire implementation process, ensuring that the timeline is
followed, and communication is maintained with faculty and stakeholders (Iwasiw
et al., 2020). This role is crucial in coordinating the various components of
the curriculum change and ensuring that the process remains on track.
Faculty Members: Faculty members play a key role in
engaging with new teaching strategies, providing feedback, and actively
participating in the curriculum delivery. They are central to the successful
implementation of the curriculum as their involvement in both the planning and
delivery phases ensures that the changes are practical and effective (McDonald,
2018). Their active engagement also helps in fostering a positive learning
environment.
IT/Technology Support: IT and technology support
staff are essential in providing technical support for any technology
integrations used in the curriculum. The use of technology in nursing education
has become increasingly important, and the integration of digital tools
requires skilled support to ensure their smooth implementation (McDonald,
2018). This team ensures that all technological resources are available and
functioning properly to support both faculty and students.
Human Resources: Human resources are responsible for
ensuring sufficient staffing and clinical placement support for faculty.
Effective staffing is essential to the successful implementation of a revised
curriculum, as adequate faculty and clinical placement support are needed for
the new curriculum to be delivered successfully (McDonald, 2018). Additionally,
HR helps address faculty development needs, ensuring that the right training
and support are available throughout the process.
